The architecturally stunning lodge sits
at the top of a valley overlooking picturesque farmland with expansive views of Kawau Island, Little Barrier Island and the other islands of the Hauraki Gulf.

Kourawhero literally translated mean ‘red crayfish’. The logo symbolises the undulating terrain of the surroundings and makes reference to the freshwater crayfish originally found in the area.

As well as promotional collateral, the visual identity extends throughout the lodge including brass door handles, bathrobes, creative ‘do not disturb’ signs, vehicle livery and commissioned artwork by a local artist based on the shape of the logo.
